Carry-On Must-Haves for Nigerian Flights
Whether you are flying for 1 hour to Abuja or 6 hours to London, your carry-on bag is your survival kit.
1. A Warm Hoddie/Jacket
Nigerian airlines (and international ones leaving Nigeria) BLAST the AC. It can be freezing on board. Dress in layers.
2. Power Bank (In Carry-On ONLY)
Lithium batteries are fire hazards and are BANNED in checked luggage. If you leave a power bank in your suitcase, security will open your bag and seize it (destroying your lock). Keep it in your hand luggage.
3. Noise-Canceling Headphones
- Domestic: Flights can be noisy (babies, chatter).
- International: Essential for sleep.
4. Hand Sanitizer & Wipes
Tray tables are rarely sanitized between hops. Wipe down your seat area.
5. Pen (Blue/Black Ink)
For filling out Immigration/Customs forms. Crew rarely have extras.
6. Snacks
For domestic flights, you usually get "Chin-Chin" and juice. If you are hungry, bring a sandwich.
